Has anyone rigged an iPad or similar in the back seats of the m850 coupe or convertible?

I don't trust a 3 year to hold an iPad without tossing out the convertible; so I need something solid and secure.

Does THE 8 offer an RSE package? I cannot see and/of find that in the configurator. If that was the case, I am sure it could be retrofitted and could be a solution to keep kid/s entertained when sitting back there! Of course if you refer to something more simple, there should be an aftermarket solution to hang behind the seats and on which you could just place/stick the devices. Is it the latter you mean?

Yeah I'm looking aftermarket. I don't think it's an option on anything smaller than an x5

Does the Travel&Comfort system headrest base carrier fit the M850? It doesn't list it, but it randomly lists the M8, which doesn't make sense. For $25, it's probably worth a try since it could be pretty versatile.

Only fits the 840; not the m850i. We have different seats.

Can confirm that as well, not just the convertible but also the coupé. The travel & comfort system is attached to the metal rods holding the headrest, and on the M850 seats those rods are "hidden" from the rear as the seatback extends up behind the base of the headrest.

Too bad, because the t & c system is really convenient. I've used some different add-ons in my previous car and it was great. The price to pay for having awesome-looking seats...

Also, it's a universal mount so if your base carrier doesn't have to say "BMW" but <insert other car brand here> you can get it for half the price while still being an "official" product. And you can get the convenience of all add-ons to any car brand that has a compatible seat design.

Won't fit any 8, including 840's, as the attachment rods are hidden from the rear in 840s as well. Believe the "fits" section is incorrect, as it also includes the M8. AFAIK, the seats in the 840 and M850, are the same aside from maybe some additional adjustment options in the 850.

I noticed that too, i.e., the M8 being listed which makes no sense whatsoever.
