Phenomenal strategy from RB to pave the way for Max to drive it home. Ferrari once again fails miserably on strategy… at this point, 12 races of consistently bad strategy and calls, and mis-information to the drivers warrants a summer crew swap out, it’s time for heads to roll. Thinking back this season, I’m not sure Ferrari got a single call right, nearly every Box is questionable and every tire compound change is questionable, MB are far better at strategy and with a car coming into form and two great drivers, MB is just going to snatch constructors 2nd and likely pass Ferrari driver standings.
Have to hand it to RB & MB for top strategies this year, makes all the difference. |

RBs race pace and strategies are just unstoppable i think the season is wrapped up at this point for the WDC. LEC and PER gonna duke it out for 2nd place. Ferrari and MB will fight over 2nd place constructors.

Ham missing a pitwindow in jeddah And putting on hard tyres on Ham's car when that was clearly the wrong choice (consequently having him box again after some laps for the right tyres.....) And some other stuff. But it was not really noticeable because of their constant porpoising problems grabbing all the attention around that team. If they would have been in the race for victory, it certainly would have weighed more heavily. Strategic wise they're still far off from RB if looking at the complete year. Maybe the tide is turning for MB.

Just where we stand right now in the drivers standing and what we've seen so far, 2nd is not just between LEC and PER, you have to include RUS and HAM. Points separating 2nd and 6th is 32 points. Based on team performance, Mercedes is rising while Ferrari is dropping and PER needs to figure out his own situation with his car and performance.

I fear Ferrari is going to waste away LEC ability and effort if they don't make some significant changes. These type of errors where you have full data and not adjusting to a safety car or stoppage should not happen especially when all teams abandoned the hard tires.

Ferrari is an epic marque and have been in F1 since the beginning, every year. But it's indeed astonishing how many strategic errors they make this year. Sure both LEC and SAI have made drivers errors (more than VER and also more severe for sure), but, having arguably the fastest car on the grid, it's mainly strategic errors why they don't lead both WDC and WCC (sure there was mechanical trouble, but RB's have had that too). I mean in this race the lap times of KMAG, ALO and OCO all showed that it was way too cold for hard tyres and the lap time differences between hards and mediums was massive. And then so late in the race again back to reds was another 20sec that they couldn't get back. So choosing for hards was a mistake, and going back so late to reds was also a mistake (I don't think LEC would have dropped down to P6 if he stayed on hards; maybe to P4)

Watching it now and Alonso cracks under Max pressure and goes off line letting him through and then taking Ocon so easy! Norris looked like down on power as HAM and Max go past, then mode adjust on PU for Max.

Ferrari throws another one away on a strategy call.
Max spins and still finishes 8sec ahead of second place. At this point it will take a stretch of multiple RB dnf's for Max not to claim the championship. |

This track seems to suit the tires on the RB much better than the others as Max somehow is now tracking the Ferrari's and I see news flash on GPfans of Sainz saying how the red strat fell down.

Max spins because of clutch adjust but doesn't seem that much a problem as he hunts down the Ferraris again.

This was actually a Ferrari track ! But as usual the Italian strategy Clowns failed completely ! Too bad ! The Ferrari drivers are Ferrari'd , again ! Hards in the colder temps.. Ohhh...Man what a beginners mistake ! The Red Bull pitstop undercut was outstanding and MAX performed the impossible today ! MAX's number 2 WDC is in the pocket now

Charles had no idea what the strategy was...
There's only one emotion in this interview: defeat.
