The designer was a bit too enthusiastic when he drew the trunk lid. In fact, the entire rear is somehow overdone. Aand that line that creases the front fender and goes to the back is so off, for many reasons - good thing is not so obvious, but once noticed destroys the very good job the bonnet does.
Great looking car, nonetheless. Most probably, the regular version will look even better, as this is too aggressive; but here's the catch: the AMG GT 4-door has, well... AMG all over and I suppose on all models, and this is why I think the base version for 8 series should be the M850i or whatever they will number it. This, in my acceptation obviously, would be followed by M8 (the regular one) followed by let's call it M8 iCS, which should be a (mighty) hybrid. And if the M8 will have around 650 hp on pape... wheels, the iCS should add the electric drivetrain from i8 (you know, because this is what BMW said once, that the M will collaborate with i division - and this is why this top version would make sense). A quick math would bring the so-called iCS to 781 hp. Which is fair. P.S. And nothing compares to youuuuuuu |

I'm really hating that rear spoiler but even with it, the looks of this car are light years ahead of the piece of bland garbage MB just put out with the AMG GT 4 door. I love MB's but come on. Nice job BMW, now offer it without the wing.

Hard to look beyond the terrible colour scheme of green/blue paint and yellow headlights. I guess BMW ran out of time and therefore couldn't add the chrome trim around the wheel arches.

It's a beautiful car but I don't understand why it's being called an 8 series. It looks like a new 6er. And they're putting in the same power plant found in the F90 M5? That doesn't make any sense to me. If they really want to make this car the new 8 series and first ever M8 they need to put a very special power plant and interior in it.

Unfortunately, I think the size of those vents will stay based on how they new X1, X2 and X7 looks/will look. Looks like BMW will be keeping that part of the design element, sort of an evolution of the entire G generation of cars. http://www.motortrend.com/news/pre-p...three-row-suv/

So all the F12/13/06 6er is going to be rebadged as the 8er for the next generation.
