4-door version of this will be M9 correct?
M9 = Sedan M8 = Coupe

The appeal of this car will likely be limited to hardcord bmw brand enthusiasts and those that want a large touring M car. Similar to M6 appeal |

My apologies. I agree though, would definitely be interested in seeing the photoshopped undressed version of this!

Ufortunatelly it seems like that. I hoped that m8 will get upgraded V12 motor from the 760 . Otherwise it's gonna be M5 coupe which is actualy heаvier....

No one has heard of the M9. I'm willing to bet any 4 door model of this car will be called the M8 GC.

It is far more likely that the M8 will be a GT car with impressive performance than a full fledged sports car. The car will simply be too heavy and the market is likely too small to sell a true sports car. BMW has the M4 CSL, etc. for a for more sporting pursuits.

The 9-series, if developed, is a different and more upmarket car. It would likely be built on the same platform as the 7-series and Ghost. |

Same engine as M5? So it is just a M6 with a name change? I thought it was going to be a more premium model than M6. Base on 7 series level not 5.
Is this M8 completing with S63 or E63 coupe? Is there an E63 coupe? |

It really is just an M6 with a new name.

Why would the 8 be a coupe of the 5? Shouldn't it be a coupe of the 7 series? What am i missing. Surely BMW wont screw up the names, right?

I freakin' love the design of the M8! Much more than the G20, that is certain. This is what I would love for the new Z to look like, hopefully they will make a coupe version of that!
