Using TurboSmart GenV CompGates. Went with 0.83 A/R on the Garrett’s.

Hell yea!! I received my turbos from Vargas last month so it’s nice to get an idea of what’s needed to accomplish this.

I saw a m8 on IG a few days ago having a 1,200hp car that ran 8.93 1/4 mile.

This wasn’t you was it lol?

How different would you say is the engine upgrades compared to M5' typical 1000whp upgrades?

Ha! No we still got a long road ahead before I’m ripping off any test passes but that definitely sets the bar

Anything at 1000whp is going to need the same upgrades with stronger rods and likely pistons (even though the stock pistons have proven themselves pretty stout so far at the 900+whp level on Mr Vanos’ M5 I believe). Big item to go beyond that is solving the fueling issue which we are accomplishing with addition of port injection and new in tank pump setup to support e85. Other option is to go with modified cams and upgraded HPFP’s (spool is supposed to offer something soon), but even with this, you may hit limit on what direct injection fuel injectors can flow. I am not a fan of add on meth injection but that definitely can help with shortage of fueling too.

I normally see a lot of people switching to E85, E50, E30 etc or higher-octane fuel when running higher power (700whp+ let's say). Is it possible to achieve 1200whp with pump gas (93 or even 91 in California)? Obviously, I'm not familiar with how more horsepower is made outside of knowing the idea that more air and more oxygen makes more power.

Anything is possible …. To get equivalent power levels on pump gas you may likely need to go a larger size on turbos and you’d probably want to either add meth to help prevent detonation and/or drop compression down a bit with piston selection.

LOL yea these guys are out of Russia I believe. Here’s the video from there IG. Build sounds almost identical to what you’re doing at least from what I was able to translate

Not a fan of the spoiler they added but it sounds insane.

From their build list they are running slightly smaller turbos (G25-660’s) and using upgraded cams for additional direct injection fueling along with water/meth injection. End of the day That’s a killer pass they put down

Are these equal length now? Sound more like the M550 now with different headers.

The turbo manifolds are identical mirrors of each other left to right. The runners are so short that it should be negligible for any difference in lengths

Why did you choose to use an ice tank instead of running an FI Interchiller?
Interchillers don’t work and are terrible. There’s a reason you don’t seem them doing anything. They just don’t work well and add risk of intercooler failure/hydrolock. Always better off with a good A2A intercooler or W2A with ice tank. If you really wanna help with cooling, adding meth injection after the intercooler really works wonders. My IAT in my z06 are 59° @7200rpm making north of 1200w

But stock S63 use cross bank manifolds, where as yours resembles the traditional N63 design of each turbo being designated to each bank…

Yeah the OE setup is for factory twin scroll turbos and hence the cross over manifold to balance cylinder firing order. No more twin scroll setup here and much higher boost levels so manifold runner lengths aren’t as critical to try and balance exhaust pulses.

This is quite interesting and seems to be well planned. I read this will be a daily driver, but under what conditions will you be able to use a car with 1200 horsepower? Seems like the only application would be drag racing?
