I have the M8 grand coupe front and back lip along with the 850 side sills on my M8 vert and it came out great.
Not carbon but it's decent ABS material just be careful with steep dips I won't be getting it lowered.

Well after a 5 month or longer wait I came home today to see 2 large boxes leaning against my garage. They are apparently made on Pluto.
It's my full carbon look Maxton kit. Yeah ! Just in time for me to have stored the car 4 days ago for winter.....lol.
I went with the carbon look to tie into the carbon stuff on the body now. It's down pretty low so hopefully it looks ok not being actual carbon.
Anyway I ordered the it with the wing things. Gulp. Anybody have that option on their's ? There is 6 in total. So it's a commitment for sure. I like the look of other kits with the wings but don't want to drop that kind of cash on lower bits that damage so easily. I'm in the camp that these Maxton things are so much easier on the wallet to replace.
Anyway in the spring i'm gonna install a few pieces at a time to make sure it's what I want. I like Maxton's pic and my car is black as well like the pics. Just not frosted.
What do you guys think of these wing dings?

I will be definitely going with Maxton front lip and totally expect to replace it multiple times. On my lowered Caddy V Wagon i replaced the front lip probably 5 times. Vendor would laugh and say "you again" when I'd email them 🤣

Definitely curious to see what the fake carbon looks like from anyone who has installed this finish.

Garage List
I got the high gloss as well, front, side and rear. They are not the strongest material but for the price can't beat it.

a reasonable side shot that catches some of the front and side lips from Maxton ... again cheap as fuck and below the optical line for the nitpickers:

So f93 front will fit f92
850 sides will fit f92
And rear defuser, also f93 to fit f92?

Looks like a solid disposable choice, though I may lose the lip getting out of my driveway

I have the whole Maxton set in the carbon look. But have not installed any of it yet. I got it late last fall and the car was put away already. Some of it will be going on June 6th. I wanna start with the splitter. See how it looks and then add some more pieces on later if I like the splitter. I think the side skirts will be fine. Not sure on the rear diffuser or the rear wheel skirts. I have them but am going slow.
They took 7 months to arrive last year.

Ya I'm hoping the fake carbon looks ok. It's down low with not much really visible. It looks nice not mounted so hope it transfers over nicely.
If you look at and not think fake it actually looks like real carbon.
As many have said here these Maxton units are smash-able without losing you wallet to replace.
Splitter goes on first for a week of evaluation. Then I'll add a few pieces as I go later.
The rear splitter has me wondering a lot thought. Not sure on it.
I've only seen it on there in the Maxton pictures on their site.

So here’s a thing - I spoke to Maxton in the UK, they asked me to send them pictures of my car (M850i G15), so I did. They emailed me back and said “Sorry we don’t make any parts for your car”.

Firstly, that’s complete rubbish…

Secondly, on discussing it with no less than 4 decent UK styling companies, every one of them told me to avoid it because it will break the first time it touches the road or a rock hits it. All of them were quite scathing.

I actually quite like the look of it but I guess you get what you pay for. I don’t want to be buying again and again.

So I’ve hit the credit card full-force with a 3D design / AC Schnitzer combination which is being fitted next week 😬

Ya i'm not too worried on rocks or debris too much. I never take it down a gravel road. I'm more concerned with low angles on driveways. Mine has some slope to it, so it will be a slow exit out every time. I do that now anyway. I actually don't think it's much lower than the rubber splitter they include with the car.
I'm super careful with front end in parking too. I mostly back in.

I have the front lip and it is nearly exact in clearance from the ground as the rubber one.

I’ve got the black side skirts in my garage if anyone in the Chicago area wants them for a six pack of beer! They just weren’t for me.

Ya I see it's about the same height but it sticks out a bit further. So for me it might be tight in my driveway.
I do know i'd be pissed with myself if I wrecked a real carbon unit. If I was lowered I'd never get in my driveway. I have a great concrete 9 car driveway but it is sloped a bit. Then the road has slight upward angle. So it needs to be done slow and angled a bit.
Thanks for the pic.

Small hitch to this install of the lip. The dealer say's the tech didn't want to drill in the lower bumper so didn't install it. They are claiming a body shop needs to do this installation. This is at the BMW dealer.
So you guys with a Maxton lip, who did the install and was it a pain in the ass?
How do other lips mount on our M8's?

I need a better alternative to the dealer.

The spoiler went on today. Looks good in the pics they sent me. I'll see tomorrow in person if that fake carbon stuff blends in well enough. Looked in the pics so far. I'll post some pics after they return it tomorrow. Letting some adhesive dry overnight.
The best body shop in town did it for $250. CAD. That was not too bad I guess. They did a superb job as they always do.

Sorry for the late posting of this info.
Spoiler is on and I like it. The 'fake" carbon look is not too bad really. If you look close enough you might spot it as not real carbon. But for the price you can't go wrong.
I really like the little wings. Wasn't sure if I would so have not installed the side skirts or rear skirts yet. Wanted to see how this looked first. Ok to me anyway.
The pics make it stand out as different from the other carbon for sure. But when not actually concentrating or studying on it, it blends pretty good from standing height.
What do you guys think of those wings?
I have yet to see them on another car in this forum or anywhere. Glad I ordered them that way now.
Sorry for the crappy pics. It was bright out. I suck at pics.Name: 20230628_160658.jpg

Sorry to tell you, but that looks nothing like real carbon… you can clearly see the difference only by looking at your front bumper addons and L shape bits
