My cousin street parks his F8 all the time. Seemingly it's the way of life in NYC. He's not the only one that does it. It's semi-common... see some of the other examples. With the exception of your "home" garage lot or random garage parking is a hassle and in my experience, they're more likely to do damage than DIY street parking. I don't recall never street parking the R8 either...
