That is similar to current strategy they are working on (using N63 logic since N63 is a non cross bank setup).

It's from ancient times when everyone was right handed and wielded sword in their right hand. So to show you weren't a threat you would shake hands with your right hand. If you were on horseback and wanted to shake hands with your right hand then you would need to pass them on the left!

Japan had a similar but very different reason, to stop their sword clattering as they passed each other, but I digress.
LOL.
But this is steering wheels not sword

Sorry for the shitty sound clip here but I will say this thing sounds awesome now. The non cross bank setup with the x-pipe added in the factory back half exhaust makes this thing sound like an actual V8 for once. Good news on the tuning front, they are fairly confident they solved the angry non cross bank O2 sensor issue and now have moved on to building all the maps from scratch. Hoping another week or so before the base tune is good enough to start getting break in miles going. Once that’s all squared away i will try and post better clips of start up and some decent revs. Good progress report though.

updates? And what are you using to control the port injection?

Car is planned to ship down to Motiv in North Carolina next week where they can finish base tune live on the car and then complete port injection tune as well (using Motiv’s Reflex for port injection controller). We’ll see how it goes and in an ideal world they will also be able to figure out flex fuel integration for the first time on this platform. Everything else was a first so why stop now 🤣🤣🤣

please lmk how it goes, not having PI is the one thing holding me back from dumping any more money into my build, especially not wanting to run WMI.

This is exactly why we went the extra mile to develop these port injection manifolds. I’m not a fan of dumping a ton of meth to not blow up and with PI skys the limit on how crazy you want to go with power on a build. If this all works out, I’m hoping it starts the days of others really pushing builds on this platform

Hello. I was considering WMI. I'm curious of your thoughts on this, and why this would be a bad way to go?
Thanks

Lots of people run WMI and it has its place. I personally and many others don’t like relying on it as the anti detonation solution particularly on something you want to drive with any regularity. Too many engine go boom stories of meth pump failures, meth tank empty, etc.
I’d rather be able to just run e85 and rely solely on the fuel system (less failure modes). If you are diligent with maintenance and monitoring WMI should be fine, but eventually you’ll hit a limit on how much meth you can spray and try to stay “safe”

Interesting. Having a car with turbos is new to me, so I'm still learning. I want mod the car as much as I can.... but safely. Sounds like meth is a no go, as I don't want to deal with worrying about the levels and what not.

So for this car, is the only way to run E85 is with your port injection kit?

I don’t know of anyone running full e85 thru stock direct injection only. You’d definitely need upgraded fuel system (low and high pressure side upgrades) but not sure what the limit of the DI injectors are and not sure if their are upgraded units available for our platform. PI lets you go as big as you want for fuel supply with regular injector options and whatever low side pump you can throw at it.

Physical build is done. Car getting loaded on a transport Monday to go down south to finish custom coding and tuning both for base tunes and port injection tuning.

Bro, you don’t even know. This has been one of the most “challenging” projects I’ve ever taken on. At this point nothing surprises me. Not sure if I will ever try to be the first on a platform again 😔

I'm guessing low 9's ... or even sub 9 ?
CarWow reported 9.6 seconds for 1000 HP M5.

I wonder if that will be fast enough to beat that guys M850 on here that’s hitting 9’s or is it low 10’s??

He proved (with mods) he can beat his friends stock M8C at the drag strip. Kudos. But what about against a modded M8C (just to be fair)??

He said he holds the title 🏆 of the fastest M850 to be posted on the dragy app..

I think these two need to race.. What do you think??

Well he claimed 950 HP. This one is supposed to be 1200HP so I expect 0.8-1 seconds faster if this M8C can put that much power down properly.
