You can save $$ by getting an M850i and putting a piggyback tune on it. Will it keep up with an M8? No, but it is absolutely not a slouch, and it WILL have 4WS and electronic sway bars - the M8 does NOT - which make it way more comfortable and usable in normal driving. Yes, it understeers a little more than M8 or Alpina. Everything's a compromise.

Test drove a 2023 M8c coupe today and totally loved it. Is there any good discount to be had? The one I drove had a beaten up front bumper and was poorly repainted, so I passed it.

Posts like these always make me chuckle, yeah, I met this really hot bird, but her boobs were not as big, she's a brunette and she had brown eyes. So I paid for a boob job, hairdresser to dye her hair blonde and got some blue eye contacts. Its not quite the same BUT we live in Guatemala where everyone speaks Spanish and like you know she speaks Zulu and you know NOBODY else in Guatemala does. Everything's a compromise.

Seriously though there comes a point in the market where all of this is just silliness, if you want an M8 buy an M8, the 850i is the 850i it will never be an M8 no matter what you do and vice versa an M8 will never be an 850i.
