How to access rear parking sensors .. ( PDC sensors )

No idea how this happened. One of my parking sensors got dented and pushed in, and the dealership says it was hit. Never even parallel parked this car one time, ugh. SO I ordered an OEM sensor, does anyone know if only the gray bottom part of the bumper needs to come off to access it, the bumper, or both ? Thanx

Hopefully all 840s have the same bumper…or if there are multiple bumpers the procedure is the same regardless of M-pkg, 2DR coupe, or 4DR grand coupe? Once you get to the PDC sensors…the reinstallation process is the reverse:

SO I found a video of a bumper coming off. It SEEMS like I should be able to just disassemble only the left side of the bumper, and bend out to gain access to the sensor. Thanks for the info Qsilver

In case someone ever searches for this. I didnt completely remove my bumper. I pulled it off the car just enough to get my hands onto the sensor. I found that the locking mechanism that the sensor fits into, was badly damaged as well. Frustrated, I layed it in there the best I can, and added a couple drops of crazy glue. If you need to change this sensor due to damage, consider buying that cradle piece that attaches to inner side of bumper, and completely remove the bumper per instructions. . Im assuming it is glued onto the inner-side of bumper. Anyway, I found an OEM sensor on ebay for $50, so I saved $950+ tax by doing it myself. We'll see how long it holds ! Thanx again Qsilver
