Ambient temperature sensor

I recently received my M8 and just noticed this behind the grill- looks like it’s in the same wiring sheath as the front camera. There’s only about 8 inches of slack in the wire and I’m wondering where it is supposed to go. Has anyone had experience with that?

You figure out where it's supposed to go? I got my car back after getting the front end off and later noticed the check engine light and temp not working (-40).

Yes.
Looks like the mount is just behind the front camera.
I’m needing the plastic mounting clip shown here.
