Vic55. Respect 🙏. You had alot of experience in the motoring world , for that I respect you .
I always imagine what BMW could do with the S63 engine in a pure sports car body. Lightweight and agile . A super car for short. The current CSL as great as it is ....how great would it of been with the V8 from the M8....or even a Late 70s M1 body . |

The M, as you know, has its fluid maintenance covered for 3/36. I never hit the sensor for miles so I just get a free oil change every year which one can do in lieu of the sensor telling you its time. On my F90 M5 I did the run in service at 1200 and then a free oil change around 3400 miles and one more at 4600 miles. Time counts too. And no issues with the M's. But the Porsche is a bulletproof car in itself.

I've had HUD literally since its introduction in the E60 5er (I waited for its delayed introduction). I love it. But it wasn't a problem living without it in my 911s since I use HUD mostly for speed and the 911 has a digital speedometer front and center in the guage cluster. It worked fine for me. That said, it does piss me off that Porsche refuses to fit a HUD into the 911 for some unknown reason.

Panny, Taycan and Cayenne do. 911, 718 and Macan do not.

Its def not a game changer for me- chassis response, driver involvement, sonorous feedback... is. I never got a Porsche for the tech or even the cabin amenities. M has stuff so its cool and Ive run HUD's in every M since it came out but to me, its luxurious and not driver needed. I drive with a longer line of sight so my focus is usually not on it.

Personally, I want it all. And I'm certainly not one of those "drivers" who are disdainful of anything that isn't "driver-focused" (you know, like power windows). Btw, it's why the 911 is pretty much the perfect car. It's either very good or excellent in every way, except for price (no surprise since it's pretty much a no compromise car). Its luxury and tech aren't quite as good as the M8, but it's very (very?) good and better than 90% or more of anything else in the category. And its engine, driving dynamics and reliability are as good as it gets for the street. I do wish it had HUD though.

Im by no means a pro in any way shape or form but I do get horrible gas mileage in all my cars (heavy foot) and wear out tires if I get the miles up There is not one day where I, safely, do not at least exceed triple digit mph's. I have a sweet run by my house where I can peg the limiters in all my cars and I take full advantage of it. And I turn once in a while hahaah I just never personally had the "must have" for HUD.

There is most definitely nowhere within an hour of my house even that I can go over 100 anytime I want without some fear of there being a cop nearby. Would be nice to have though. Has above, I also want it all. After all there is a Burger King nearby. Or maybe I want it my way as the case may be. I want the sportiness and the creature comforts of the HUD for example. It's unlikely that I will really ever get to take full advantage of my 617 horsepower but somehow it's still fun and nice to have. Also the same reason that I will never tune it. My car friends in Germany are like, what do you do with all that horsepower over there? You can't use it. True enough for where I live. It used to be the cool thing when leaving the local cars and coffee that you get on the highway where the entrance ramp was right in front of everything and people would burn out and crazy accelerate getting on the highway until the cops picked up on this and now sit there waiting for people.

I drive M8 Competition stage3 with 862hp 1050Nm.
It pulls every time like a bullet and yes of course mine was used car 6 month and payed 130k euros full optional..very very lucky me. New I agree it’s overpriced. In my garage there is room for a Porsche GT4 2022 stage1. Every time that choose car in the morning I have to reset my driving behavior cause are so different on the road. |

Probably the stock rods are capable of running 800-900bhp but still I personally would not risk it |
