Yeah Im maxed, KW doesnt allow it any lower. From what Ive been told they are worried about the overall chassis height to the ground. I could drop it further without the helper springs but that could lead to the main springs becoming dislodged on severe road bump impacts.

Optimally Id like to be about 10mm lower maybe but this is fine and the ride is so good. Yesterday I hit 164 mph before the limiter shut me down. I had zero idea I was going that fast it was so smooth and stable. But I found out I did not get the M Drivers Package LOLOLOL.

Which raises another question; if the limiter is set at 155 then the "standard" 5% speedo error is intact for BMW (164x.95) But why didnt it shut down at 155 since the speedo is what its based on? Or is there a gps?

I think I'll be satisfied with this height.

Your car looks amazing.

Thank you sir- when does your car arrive at the dealer?

And you will love the compression and rebound of the springs. I cant believe how much better it is than the H&R's on the F90 M5.

Late Jan/early Feb.

Thinking of going 35% on my tints all around. Did you get darker?

I went 35% all the way around... I wanted some ability to see inside with the two tone interior.

Gotcha. Yeah I'm at 35% all around on my M4 with silverstone interior and it works well.

Still debating if I should go gloss with my wheels or matte hmmmmm........

How are you liking the Racechip?

Interesting. I find my current setup to be positively... unbearable on the likes of I4 near Orlando.

Is the difference that radical?

Same here but 30% on the coupe windows plus the asinine little window for the back seats which technically could have been darker by AZ tint laws but wanted a uniform look and easy visibility into the amazing Fiona Red/Black interior. What did you guys go with for the rear window? I did 15% which works well (have used it on all prior cars) vs 5% aka limo black.

I always tint the same % all the way around.

I will say after some minor mods the car really is good visually. From a driving perspective, it moves well and handles great for car with such heft and length. As Ive read, its the widest BMW of all cars they make. Its a nice offset to the F90 M5 I had (sold it) with its much longer frame and wheelbase. The stability is there no doubt but so is the ever so slight change in handling. I did use the KW HAS system this time which is a dramatic improvement over the M550i H&R springs I lowered my F90 on. The compression and rebound brings back fond memories of my first M- the E39 M5. It soaks up the undulations much better while also giving a visual change for the better IMHO.

Here are the minor mods and nothing bold but just minor things to change it up.

r33_RGSport Ben is just great- favorable pricing, service, and he is just a good guy always willing to accommodate. He moved his schedule around to do this plus made numerous adjustments to ensure the drop was good. KW for some odd reason doesnt allow a much more pronounced drop on the F93. Its fine but I could use a few more mm's.

KW HAS- maxed out but still just a bit high for me but Ill live
Reflectors front and rear- wrapped with gloss vinyl (quick fix)
H&R Spacers- 18mm Front, 12mm Rear
Race Chip- took from my F90 M5 and reprogrammed for the CE F93

supremepower Eric, Kim, Will- what can I say as Ive been going to Eric since 2001 for all things from aesthetics to power gains. He most recently did my R8 with exhaust and drop as well. His spacers have become my go to for so many cars (over 20) but he was out of the 18mm and Ben had them in stock. I called him Tuesday and he too made scheduling changes so I could drop off the car Wednesday and pick it up Friday. Service, Pricing, and utter convenience. He is my main mod guy.

Caliper Painting- I just went off the deep end here since red is now OEM. He even smoothed out the rears which have so much orange peel. I think yellow on black is rather cool.

Wheel Powder Coating- we went with gloss since the car is so glossy in general. I really like the "nasty" look here even though some will say black is played out. I am happy.

Other stuff done by randoms:

Exhaust- I had the center resonator pulled- I gained alot of decibels and just more sound which I wanted. A simple job that is easily reversed. If you are in the OC- see the Muffler Man in Placentia.

Tint- some cool guy came to my house- 35% ceramic

Congrats
Enjoy in great health, we used to say this and don't mean much back in the days before the pandemic! Now we get to appreciate the depth of this wish! Health can be the most unsung hero ever till it's lost!
I'm sorry, but have seen lots and lots of people die of COVID-19 and it's just changing my perspective quite a bit!

Hope this vaccine delivers the goods!
It's been a week!
Cant wait to put my hand (No pun intended), on the second dose! Gotta count 3 weeks

Cheers folks
Sorry didn't mean to be melodramatic

Its alot better Dean--- there are just too many bounces in the H&R's (for a lack of a better description). I do think the H&R's are two stage springs while the KW's are progressive in nature. The KW's soak up the bumps and undulations much better. Now keep in mind Im using the comparison on same roads but with the M5 vs the M8. But its not marginally better, its much better.

I was wondering about this, I had KW on my 335i and loved them. Put H&R on my 650xi GC and it wasn't bad. People have said the H&R are decent but I'm a bit of a skeptic since the M8 GC Comp rides harsher stock than my 650GC did. Might be worth the extra $ to go KW.

I mean its not 100% empirical as there is other items in play like: chassis, damper/valve rates, weight, etc-- but I think the extra 600-700 dollars is indeed 100% worth it. And we retain the CE damper setup with EDC. I thought sport plus in OEM setup (dampers) was way too much anyways so now with the KW I run Sport (not plus) and its pretty spot on.

From my slightly educated research the KW's are progressive so under load they are taut but as the load (speed, road dynamics, pressure, etc) decrease... they "progressively" spring rate down and soften up. Thus over lighter undulations at lower speeds you dont feel the bounce or imperfections while at speed over a change in surface they tighten up and compress and rebound very tight to avoid that "launch" feel. While the H&R's are a fixed rate so you get the same compression and rebound on good and bad roads which yields that unwanted drive feel. Dont get me wrong, Ive lowered quite a few cars on H&R and have it on my Audi R8 now but those cars dampers and chassis's are much different. I run KW on the AMG GTS and Techart on the Porsche; the C63S is stock.

I have had better setups with my Ferrari's, Lambo, R8's, AMG GTS- but with magnetorheological dampers. Those are the best out there in regards to dialing in the harsh and remaining compliant.

Congrats on the M8 Vic,
Does your car have OPFs fitted ?. Getting lost as to what markets has what fitted these days. Over here we are having all noise mapped out, so interested if the resonator delete is a valid mod ?, all the best.

Thanks Simon--- based on my build date (12/2019) and the review of the oem cans- I do not have them. So adding the res delete gave me further sound increases in db's. Now I dont have the same tonal gains from the Remus but the overall loudness of the car is pretty much where I want it. I would definitely do the delete if was on the other side of the lake.

I swear you will love it--- cheap and reversable especially on the GC. The coupe and vert have that cross bar which requires more labor. A good reputable muffler shop can do it in about 45 min to hour, rack to unload.

I swear you will love it--- cheap and reversable especially on the GC. The coupe and vert have that cross bar which requires more labor. A good reputable muffler shop can do it in about 45 min to hour, rack to unload.
I love love love low cost mods with big impact!
