I won't lie man...it's a bitch. I was/am the same way.

Just do the best you can and focus on the long term as you will gain it back quickly. None of my pants fit anymore.

Most importantly....go slow. Rushing back in after a layoff is the perfect recipe for disaster. Ask me how I know....

This will be the longest I've ever gone from working out. The most was 2 weeks and that's usually for vacation. But yeah, 1st week I'll take it easy not to snap some shit up

I'm still sore as shit from my lift Monday. Haven't been able to get in there Tuesday or yesterday because I've been so swamped at work and my gym is currently closing at 7pm. Hoping to get back in today though!

Off topic, but finally got a hair cut booked too! Hair is well over 6", getting out of control at this point lol.

Im waiting to be able to purchase equipment again. Its absolutely ridiculous how almost every manufacturer is out of stock of everything. Looks like its going to be a long while before I can add some more goods to my home gym. End Rant.

Lifted shoulder and biceps yesterday. Finished up with a 3 mile run. Weighed in a record low at 5pm yesterday, 182. But who knows how much of that was hair from my cut yesterday lol.

Man.....I need a haircut so bad! I'm still about the same weight as you. And still sore. I haven't fully returned yet....just 3 days a week on a basic powerlifting split.

Once I start adding days, I will address my diet.

Never missed this amount of time. Like lsturbointeg said....just a week during vacation.

Right now I still have a lot of personal stuff going on with my dad.

And I'm not getting younger so this is new territory for me!

Did what I call plate squat on Smith rack today one of my favorites. Have power system calf plate and raise heels then do conventional back squat. Keep it all on quads and narrow stance so feel outer sweep nicely. Also can be hands off on the bar if want some Smith.

I feel ya there, nothing better!! My weights are all down as well, no surprise there. This will be my second time through all muscle groups this week. Lifted back/tri for the second time yesterday, and weights are already moving up. Just need to recondition those muscles!

Today is Shoulders/Biceps!

Still no gym available here.

Last week kept working on digging sod. Completed it all I thought, and had a decently level surface to pour cement. Contractor came by, set his laser on the existing portion, and made some marks on the far side. Then he put his tape measure at 5 inches below the current surface and said I had a ways to go

No way! I got out my level, and showed him that the bottom of existing foundation was level all across to where I was done, within reason. He checked his laser again and something was off, so my depth was almost perfect. WHEW!!!!

Tonight I intend to ride my bike when I get home

It is nice that I was not alone during the shutdown period being the only one that got a good bit smaller. Most of the guys in my gym have lost some size, some more dramatic then others. The good news is starting over is fun in itself. Was definitely disheartening when we had to stop lifting and lost a lot of progress, but have to be optimistic with weight lifting or you'll just end up giving up.

Anways, shoulders and biceps yesterday. I was using one of the black bands with grips on it to do some resistance curls towards the end of my workout, band was under my feet and I was standing curling towards my head basically. After about 20 reps the handle popped off the right band and I about rocked myself in the side of the head lmao. Other then that nothing crazy, looking forward to legs today after work!

Back workout gym bros! Crazy convo I overheard by these two chicks. They thought because i had my Drebeats on they thought i couldn't hear them. It was actually paused. Anyhow I thought guys talked about dirty shit to other guys but these two chicks were telling each other "I just wanna look **ckable to guys you know what I mean?" Like we need to do more glute excercises like what that chick over there is doing." I seriously looked deep into my soul and tried to keep a straight face

Lmao, luckily since I was standing on the band when it snapped it just went towards the floor and not my face. Handle was left in my hand and I was mid curl with everything I had, luckily reaction time was solid and slowed the impact of my fist to my temple hahaha.

My gym has transitioned back to 24hr access. So I was there at 5am this morning, literally the only person there which was nice haha. Lifted chest, idk about you all, but I get an outrageous pump on chest day. Feel like I go up a cup size by time I get done lmao.

Going to get out an play some golf after work today. Tomorrow morning will be back day as long as I don't drink too much this evening lol.

After that I'll probably get fitted for my suit for the wedding in September. Hoping that isn't too early, as I'm not sure how much my physique will change over that time frame.

I remember having to hold my weight last year for my daughter's wedding longer than normal. I was fitted in Feb....and then she was married in May.
