M3 offset wheels on the E90

I apologize for bringing this up again, but after searching, I could not find a definitive answer.

I am lookng at a new set of wheels. The specs are:

F - 19x8.5 +45mm offset
R - 19x9.5 +25mm offset

I am trying to find out whether these wheels will fit or not without any rubbing issues. Rolling the fender is not an option for me either...

My car has the sports suspension, and I do not plan on lowering. I realize that the rear offset is a better fit for the M3, but I really like the look of this wheel in that offset.

Also, will there be any fitment issues with the front? Will it be too tucked in?

Your help is appreciated...

You're kidding me right? That topic is ALL over the place in here. Dude, I want to be supportive of your honest question, but its the whole search piece that's in question. Anyway, you're question is incomplete without stating what type of suspension you're running. ZSP? Non-Sport? Lowered and if so, by how much. How wide a tire are you thinking? So, just a couple other data points to get the answer you want.

Seriously though, the answer is written all over the place in here. HRC is right that you should be fine (albeit we don't know the rest of the details of your ride). To try and help you, I'm planning on running a similar setup on my 330 and from what I gathered in my research, you can run the ZSP suspension w/the size rims & offsets you've mentioned, with up to 245/35 fronts and 275/30 rears wiht no rubbing. I belive 285's are pushing it in the rear.

Good luck. You might wanna call your Service Advisor and tell them you have a faulty Search function.

While you say I need to try better searches, I will advise you to go back to school and learn to read. I did state in my original post my sports suspension. I also mentioned it is not lowered, and do not plan on it.

You will rub with 285 tires, even if you don't lower it. The most I would put on an M3 offset wheel would be 265.

It would be 265's on the rear...

I would recommend 5-mm spacer in front. I'm afraid the front wheels will not have enough clearance on the strut side. I have 40-mm offset in front with 245/35/19 tires and they are very close to the strut side, but I don't have sport suspension tho. The rear with 25mm offset is perfect.

Agreed I am running 5mm on the front with the that offset, although the tires are 245 my clearance on the front is paper thin.

Difference in diameter b/w 275 and 265 tires on your wheels is 0.4" (10mm). That means your rear tire will be only 0.2" (~5 mm) closer the the top of the fender, and I don't believe it will rub.
If 275 will have rubbing issue, then with only 5mm less in radius, the 265 will rub as well.

im trying to see what kind of price i can get for rims and i was looking on e46fanatics or m3forum for used hres or bbs rims. from looking on there, it seems that there are two categories: rims that will fit m3 and rims that will fit regular 3 series.

what is the difference between the two? will rims that fit m3 (8.5x19F, 10x19R) have any problems fitting the e90?

Don't know what the offsets are, but Dinan is selling their 19" wheel package with 9.5's in front w/265/35 and 10's in rear w/275/30 rubber. I just sent them an email asking what the offsets are as a reference for us.

good call, i was told 20X8.5F and 20X10R rims would fit with tire sizes 245-30-20 and 275-30-20 rear not sure about the offsets or spacers tho, im trying to figure out the best possible set up. I know that those are the size of my rims, and i have sports suspension, but i can't have the tires rub! so im trying to figure out all the other stuff, i.e. tire size and spacers
