That MSRP... wow. I'm guessing the M8 Convertible with Comp, and CCB (and NV? Do they even offer that still?), would hit right over $180k? That's nearly $35-40K more than what a fully spec'd F12 M6 was going for.....

Agree with that on the grill, but I actually really like good old fashioned chrome exhaust tips...and actual real exhaust tips period, not the integrated bumper crap that seems to be all the rage. Glad they are going with standard style tips on the M cars. All that said, $160k is in the bottom end of 911 turbo money. If it were my money, there is no decision to be made there.

You could literally buy a new Turbo S with all those performance options as standard. Granted, it won't have as much tech and driving aids, but most people getting those cars get them to be in full control of the vehicle, not have it drive for you.

I'm having fun checking this beast out in different colors on the online individual visualizer! There are some cool new colors that've been added like Irish Green, Voodooblue, Birch Green, Chalk, and Zanzibar II.

I may be a little bias in owning an M6 vert, but i feel like the 850 has better styling. Losing the rear power window also is off putting. i thought the classic formula to make a super cool cars was to make them lower, wider, and longer. but I believe this got taller, narrower and shorter than the outgoing 6. the seats are a nice upgrade with the illuminated badging, but should also have had a dedicated M8 crystal shifter like the 850. driving performance is good, but really needs to wow someone to justify the price. just get the F90 M5 for the same car . The 8 styling cues do not command the premium they are asking for. it could possibly share the fate of the NSX

Dropped by the dealership after work for soda pop & H2O and there it was!
Actually was there to see a San Fran Red Z4 M40i in person. Meh(color), grabbed the beverages on my way out to soothe my disappointment. |
