The M8 looking standard, is leaving space for a more aggressive looking M8 CS? Or at least this is what I think it should happen.

nice but not impressed, the front bumper looks like msport, the rear is not bad..., probably vorsteiner diffuser would do the job.

Comparing the two photos, the front fenders are wider. You can notice around the headlight and there's a new contour line above the arch.

Let's wait the official release, the "spyshots" will always make the cars look undermined. Looks beefy nonetheless.

The blue one seriously looks like a 840 with M sport but only in the front.
Promising rear but still a disappointment for many like me as I'm sure those who don't like it were just expecting a big noticeable difference similar to how a 650 compares to an M6.

The M8 looks like an M850i with a tacky bodykit - something you'd expect from Hamann or Mansory. And FWIW the 850i already sounds better than the F90 M5 which will share its engine with this car. Unless performance is paramount I really don't think it's worth buying the M8 over the 850i.

Saw the M8 (together with the new X3M & X4M, 3 sedan G20, 3 touring G21, X5, X7 and 840d) during an electric car event (oh the irony) last weekend and I must say that it looked amazing in person.

Interior detail was way better then any other BMW I ever owned and the seats was sporty yet comfortable. The M8 and 840d was in separate rooms so not possible to do a side by side comparison, but I think that the 840d will be mistaken for an M8 since its stance is really aggressive.

I'm a hardcore BMW guy but man It's just disappointing. I see myself now a days just looking more at older BMWs and M cars. Long life the E-chassis era.

So I figured this means that nobody's gonna waste their time with the civic M8 if the competition is available early?

I also like how the car announces itself as "THE M8". why do you assume that we'll be mates? Are you bringing the beer?

That's all I could think looking at these pictures! Really surprised. I was super excited to see the M version. Not as much anymore. Maybe it's the color? Maybe the tiny rear spoiler? IDK. I just thought the m850i looked so good, the real M8 will be insane. I guess I will reserve final judgment until I see it in person.

So those carbon fiber block L-shaped inserts in the side intakes, those are on all of the M8's? Or did they maybe (hopefully) say it was part of a package or M Performance accessory or something (i.e. are they removable)?

If you took that piece out, it would actually look like the M8 GC Concept front bumper. I hope the production GC looks more like the concept than this does.
Best guess is although the huge openings look great on a concept car when they got it in the windtunnel for aero testing it makes more sense to have the smaller opening....

I am still reserving judgement until we get images from a proper camera and can see it live

Dare I say it... think I prefer the schnitzer kit. Minus the ACS wing.

I like it, but far too many "GERMANCAR4UM" badges on it for my liking. Will definitely need to de-badge this one.
