Air Intakes
In the distant past, I added cold air intakes to my E39 M5’s. Seemed to make sense then. Now, however, I’m not so sure. I’d love to try the Eventuri intakes, but they seem to be focused on the M cars. That leaves me looking primarily at the new, very pricey Dinan intakes—gorgeous to look at but, at $1,300, I’d like more than that. So, why would you add new intakes? If just for an increase in sound, no thanks. Dinan advertises increased performance—throttle response, more HP and torque, yada yada. Your views would be much appreciated.

On a car as fast as the 8 series I'd doubt you notice much of a difference. If it was on or not on, could anyone tell the difference? Other than sound ?
Anyway they look cool. They do dress up the under hood very nicely. The price??....well that dependants on how bad you want them. Value in the mind. If you want cars and coffee bling, them you get em. If you never open your hood, who cares. |

I have dinan inlets and bmc filter with charcoal delete (not dinan intake)
700 to 800 dollar all together Little sound ( small wooshh) Gained 0.2 sec 60 to 130 so yes little performance For the money it is worth it I can not justify dinan or eventuri intake money |
