Coupe is french for Cut. Which refers to the cut down roof. Not the amount of doors. No amount of complaining will change that |
Uh. Not really. It's about the lack of rear seating. It's a holdover from two-seat horse drawn carriage. The "cut" has to do with the loss of seats. In any case the keyword is "Gran/Grande". This allows manufactures to designate a new model w/out running afoul of tge official definition.
