GOODWOOD, England — Is the standard Rolls-Royce Phantom not quite exclusive enough for your eclectic tastes? You might put a bid in for one of the 25 bespoke Phantom Black models recently hand-built by BMW's luxury-car arm.

Unfortunately, all 25 cars "have already been allocated to customers around the world," the company says.

What's so special about the Phantom Black? You mean, besides that arresting monochromatic color scheme inside and out? That is probably enough.

Rolls-Royce says it used high-luster Diamond Black metallic paint on the exterior, "complemented by twin silver coach lines." The car's 21-inch alloy wheels are shod with high-performance Goodyear run-flat tires with "unique black detailing." Under the hood, the V12 engine gets gloss-black intake manifolds.

Inside, the car is fitted with black leather upholstery, edged in Seashell piping, with a black leather headliner. The cabin is trimmed in black ash veneer, and the dashboard is finished in black metal foil embossed with a diamond pattern. Even the embroidered glovebox liner is black.

And, since the cars are already spoken for, Rolls discreetly declines to divulge the selling price. Rest assured it was somewhere north of the $329,750 MSRP of the standard Phantom.

What this means to you: Guess you'll have to find another place to spend that $300,000 plus.
