Mine had the same problem when I bought it and the hood was fully closed. Took to the dealership and they adjusted the latches so they're different heights and make the hood land more flush. I was told that this is relatively common and many are shipped that way. They said it was an easy adjustment and they do it all the time. Mine is now flush and not noticeable.
