Love the new 8 series front, and the back is OK too.
However, the side view leaves me cold. Reminds me of a Ford Mustang.
Moreover, I feel the air vents/scoop trim pieces are too massive, plus they are accentuated by contrasting gloss black......I'd say that looks tacky although some people might see in it an "aggressive" look which they like. Obviously, BMW body styling people know their buyers' preferences better than I do.

Color aside they have totally different design languages.

A lot of people say it looks like the mustang but to me that's a stretch. The wheel base is longer the side profile of the hood doesn't match, and the windows design looks different. Looks way better on the bmw. I actually love the design of this car very much and do not like the design of the mustang. To me it can't look the same if I like one and not the other objectively speaking. |
You clearly have perfect vision.
The form-language is very different.
I actually think the mustang is the best of Ford.
I also happen to think the 8er is the best of BMW.
