Yep. My 2011 Cayman Base with a 2.9L has 7.5 quarts of capacity and dry sump system. To manage the heat of the closed deck and forged pistons, it has four oil scavenger pumps and oil squirters under each piston.

Porsche got real serious about cooling (coolant and oil) when the 9A1 generation motors came out in the 997.2 and 987.2 cars.
