If this issue sees the light of day...Volkswagen will be pilloried over what it is doing and will have to retreat.
Again...the cars are six years old so it shouldn't be the same as a lemon law reimbursement. But they owe their customers better treatment than they are offering.
Wells Fargo realized it screwed up...albeit it very late and has now shown remorse over its actions and promising a fresh start. I don't see that coming from VW.
