If I was going to argue the hit & run case to a jury, this would be my approach.

The guy in the Prius was threatening the MB driver, even though there was a guy who was apparently a community service officer standing just a few feet away. I can see how someone in that situation might want to get to safety.

Then a squid on a GSXR 750, with cell phone and GoPro mounts, but no protective gear, gives chase, driving very recklessly to catch up, almost getting creamed passing an SUV on the right. I would think the guy was nuts. He seemed surprised that the CHP officer making a traffic stop on the freeway thought he was crazy, which demonstrates his inability to look at his actions from a third party perspective.

The guy on the bike exacerbated the situation by turning it into a chase. He already had the license plate number and should have turned it over to the police. Instead, he added to the MB driver's concern for his safety and put countless other innocent bystanders at risk, too.
