Agreed, great shot Alan.
Steve, in regards to shooting the moon, you have to use manual control, it's far too bright and will fool the camera's meter every time. For a full moon, I always use f8 and 1/1000 as a starting point and then play with the shutter speed. I'm usually at ISO 400, but last night the moon was so freaking bright I pulled it down to ISO 200. Also, the moon is indeed a very small target, so massive cropping is applied to all my shots. That shot above is from a full frame 5DIV and cropped from some roughly 6000 pixels down to 2500 or so, even with a 700mm lens setup.
