Strange direction. What I do see, ignoring the tacky gold nonsense and just focusing on the 8 coupe, is a reminder the new 4's could've looked like a smaller version the new 8's (the silhouette basically is) and already would have been more aggressive and modern than the old, just not super ugly. No reason the 8 grill wasn't already aggressive and different enough, and no reason whatsoever for removing the Hofmeister kink that looks perfectly natural on the 8.
