Fortunately it's "only" the single injector so I would say damage limited and the fact that they will take it on them speaks for their goodwill and more. Indeed mods are not necessarily the culprit of everything. Yes there may be a higher risk of issues when running them, but then again there are people out there who have driven BMWs or any other brands' generations of cars with all sorts of mods, including engine ECU tunes and never had a problem related to that.
