We had a 535d, 120d M-Sport and a Mini at the same time, the 1er is not a great deal smaller inside than the 5er, the mini is far smaller than the 1er.
As I said I now have a 120d M-Sport and an E91 M-Sport and the interior is about the same size wise.

Ohh yeah, and dont tell me that the 1er is bigger than the MINI because it has more room in the back (look at the dimensions for the front, because if you think that you will ever be able to sit comfy in the back of a 1er - you really need prof. help)
