That would've been truly awesome. But they can still make an amazing performance car with front engine, look at the vette, amg gt, gt-r nismo, camaro zl1, gt350 are all excellent handling cars. If they use a transaxle for the M8 (which was quoted) and use CF to keep weight modest with that engine, and awd system they have, it can be a beast of a car. Auto sport just ran the M5 at the ring and was nearly the fastest sedan ever, only behind the porsche panmera by less than a second, who used a factory driver!! If they cut 250-300 lbs should be a very solid performer. |
Corvette is going to be mid engine very soon for obvious reasons.
