PS multi BMW M engineers have told me to avoid frozen colors, it looks great in the show room, but is a challenge to maintain. I'm sure that the paint film and coating will affect the matte finish.
No, there is no residue. That is excess solution that he uses to apply the PPF.

No, ceramic itself does not make a car shinier. Gloss paint already has a clear coat shine to it and the ceramic coating enhances that. He uses ceramic from GTech. The ceramic is just a coating that protects the paint.

And PPF on a car is just a barrier on the paint and everything else. You still have to take car of a car that has PPF on it the same as you would a car that doesn't. With ceramic on the PPF, it's less to no maintenance.

I have been well educated in the process and protect my investments.
Good call on the ceramic. Bird poop is like lava rain on frozen paint.
