No coding needed.
I did it on my G05 X5 few weeks ago.
You need to use the new supplied ring.
Just don't pull off the controller board off, work with it on.
I use heatgun to warm up the old sticker a little so it comes off easily. |
And remember to unplug battery first.
I had short circuit in my idrive pad.
Ordered another used one on e bay for 100 euros. |
Oh, I remove the whole center console off the car.
