Absolutely spot on commentary as with iDrive 7 the driver profile is actually controlled by the ConnectedDrive "cloud" vs local in iDrive 6. The caveat is BMW has not figured out how to preserve the settings of the car within the "cloud" although the car constantly communicates with it while driving plus a sync once the engine is shut off. I equate this similar to both Apple's iOS and Android fully backing up device and applications to their clouds. BMW can take a lesson from that but apparently they are clueless to do so.
