A 2015 F150 Platinum Eco Boost has been my primary daily driver for 2-1/2 years now. Use it to tow boats, jet skis and a dual axle utility trailer. Various Eco boost engines have been in use for a number of years now, in a variety of Ford vehicles, have been raced, etc. Prior to the F150 I had 5 different V8 Expeditions, ranging from 1997 to 2010 models. The EB runs smoother, tows better and gets better mileage than any of the Expeditions. I doubt you'd experience any reliability issues with it. All I've had to do maintenance wise is change the oil. Between the F150 and Escalade it probably comes down to appearance and feature differences, and or brand loyalty. Also, what fits your needs better, a truck, or an SUV. I suspect the real world mileage for either of them would be similar, if that's even a concern with a truck.
