8GC is cheaper than the 2 door variants across the board. Even the 6GC was priced between the coupe and Convertible. |

5er has in the past been cheaper than 6er
3 series cheaper than 4er
Sedans are cheaper because BMW traditionally has charged more for fewer doors as they feel that the coupe styling is worth more.
This extends right into the X lineup where you pay more for the swoopier styled and less practical X2, X4 , X6 than the X1, X3, and X5 respectively.
