That is the biggest reason for me for prime membership. Free shipping with no minimum purchase. I believe the minimum order for non Prime members is $35.00 to get free shipping.
I just bought a kitchen sink mat (I know, exciting). Was $24.00. Without prime I would be looking for something else to pad my purchase to $35.00 to get free shipping. Probably 50% of my purchases are on cheap items like this.
The main benefit for me. Shipping speed is secondary.
