Interesting BMW are going for the forged carbon look in the new 1er performance parts but sticking with the more conventional weave with their premium model.

Not surprising on the carbon fiber front. The forged look seems to be more popular amongst the younger buyers. BMW will leave forged carbon to the aftermarket guys until there's proven sustained demand.
But hey, give me a forged carbon roof on the Next M3 and I would be super down
