that doesnt make any sense.
When 3d printing titanium becomes commoditized you could download a cad file and send it to the stop and they would make it for you. I'd imagine prices would come down enough that they would be quite a bit cheaper than the steel forged ones coming from HRE. |

But seriously, downloading and printing your own wheels from Bucky the 14 year old from Bakersfield sounds great and all, but I think I'll continue to trust engineers and companies with insurance and warranties when it comes to wheels.
I'm a bicyclist and have seen a number of catastrophically failed carbon parts from "the same plant that the big guys use" to trust whackadoodle design.
