Why are you stuck with the 2014 status of the OP? He just bought out a 2018 M4 lease. A M235i is apples to oranges in comparison and hence the advice IMO he might want to sit tight with the M4 and see how the next year plays out in the 8 series. If one was to gauge my 2020 M850i purchase in comparison to the car it replaced (2006 purchase) I'd obviously not own the M850i.
