That may have been true in 2014 but based on the OPs sig he's been in a M4 since 2017. Going to an 840i and being "content" is likely not the operative word. I made a huge leap to the M850i and when it's lease is up my decision will be a tough one in regards to buying it out (the residual will be a joke to current market value) or looking for an alternative. Any alternative will not be a lease but buy and hold given where I'm at in life (I'm semi retired and looking to fully retire in 2 years). The buy and hold parameter will likely mean an alternative to a BMW given the overall long-term maintenance cost factor regardless of the abysmal depreciation. Not looking forward to that day but rather enjoying the M850i until the lease runs out.
