That was dealer installed vs OTA correct? Just asking as the latest updates on the video shared in the iOS digital key thread call out that at least some OTA updates for 07/2020 have bricked the iDrive units.
UPDATE 7/10/20: The iDrive system locked up when the Android Auto feature was pushed remotely. In order to limit any potential frustration with this, customers will now need to have Android Auto installed via BMW Service. This will be a wired connection which will avoid the iDrive lockup. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as this is a new situation which is still developing.
