I purposely record all F1 races and start watching at least 30-45 min after the start. Solves a lot of my problems with the series. Prerace can be fast forwarded through commercials and interviews I don't care about and if I am not interested in watching the whole race I can FF through sections I don't care about. Full course yellows are often another 5 minutes of wasted time as they work on getting the car removed and the course cleaned up. They can't do anything about it but I don't need to watch the parade laps.
