imho, I still don't like the new body style of the W212. It doesn't stand out as being unique; it's just generic. I actually like my E63 better (2009, last of the W211.) The W212 has the same 6.2 but with the SL's MCT (which still has bugs like the early M3 DCTs) instead of the 7 speed on the W211.
A downside is that they decontented the new E63. e.g., napa leather and alcantara headliner is now an expensive option instead of standard. Launch control on the car is so complicated to set up that few people end up bothering using it.
In the next year or two they'll be dumping the n/a 6.2 liter and will go with TTs on a 5.5 liter. Hopefully they'll do a good facelift and other improvements to the W212 to make it more enticing than it is at the moment.
