In regards to a ceramic coating the easy answer is absolutely do so but I'd also recommend PPF at least on the front-end, mirrors, rockers, and roof prior to doing so. I did a lot of research on ceramic coatings and ended up with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra but you cannot go wrong with Ceramic Pro as well.
My M850i's Tanzanite Blue is darker and shows more dirt than Marina Bay but with the ceramic coating an Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine (aka ONR) touch up when needed between professional detailed washes keeps the car immaculate. Just be careful as you want the blue vs green ONR as the latter has wax.
