I think that's one of the main reasons for the poor sales of the M8. The interior is nice, but when I sat inside one to test drive it, it didn't give you that special feel. It too closely resembled (design, not materials) the base models (especially the G20) for it to be unique.
I think BMW should have created a unique design for the M8 (interior) to make it more halo car-esque.
