Honestly, the most reliable car I ever owned was a 2001 Lincoln Navigator. The car had almost 200k miles when we let it go and the only maintenance issues we ever had were replacing the airbag suspension (less than $1k for all four) and COP's. A good friend of mine has a 2000 Eddie Bauer Expedition with close to 300k miles and the maintenance has been even less. Food for thought if you really want to have a low cost and maintenance car.
