In the case cited Hello wake up and smell the coffee as the car is negated with a simple push of the button to turn of full driving assistance pro mode. Sure, the BMW NAV may had the wrong speed limit for the road but whom in their right mind doesn't negate the function if it's gone wild? User error and I live in the world of dealing with that daily.

I totally agree w/this. No way in hell does our 8 series 'read speed limit signs', that is just not the way it works.
