I'd take the 1,000 pound lighter car unless 90% of your miles will be in the highway. Fat cars suck, consume gas, brakes and tires much faster than lighter cars.
Aside from the novelty (or stupidity) of the handful of original Cayenne GTS with manuals, I've never understood the appeal.
