I would really appreciate if you can keep us informed of how that part and sensor works. I have a M8 Coupe headed to Brunswick and the threads on this expansion tank both here and on the M5 board are really dispiriting.

No problem, once they have fittings on there an completed I’ll share some info. If BMW doesn’t finally fix this properly then replacing with a billet tank is the way to go. We didn’t have a choice as the OE tank wouldn’t clear turbo plumbing.
