New GT500s have stickers ranging from around 90k up to 130k, and I've seen one for over 150. If I search for new M8s, I'm currently seeing one for 140 something. My point is that, the price difference between the GT500 and M8 isn't as much as you think. Sticker price depends on how you option them, but this is always the case. Also consider that BMW often offers decent loyalty credits. I'm not sure if Ford would do that for a GT500. If anything dealers would likely be marking them up during normal times.
The GT500 makes a compelling case regardless though. |
Agreed that real world right now, these might cost about the same.
I picked up the M8 pictured here beginning of Nov with a cap cost just over $100k USD, which is about what these Mustangs are marked up in SoCal. I can't confirm what they actually sell for.
The M8 is a porker. I'm sure the stang is a lot more fun to drive.
